Meteor stores introduce better value Netbook & Laptop offering
Today, Thursday, 7th May 2009, Meteor announced it will be selling the popular ACER Aspire One D150 Netbook in 18 of its stores. Hot on the heels of the netbook is the Apsire 5738Z laptop which will be available in stores from June.
When Bill Pay customers purchase either the Aspire One D150 netbook or Aspire 5738Z laptop, they will receive the Meteor Broadband to Go device free, whilst Pre Pay customers receive €20 off the modem device, when purchased with one of the Aspire products. The cost of the netbook and laptop are as follows:
- The netbook Aspire One D150, with an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHZ Processor and 1GB memory is covered by a 1 year warranty costs €399.99
- The laptop Aspire 5738Z, with a Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200 Processor and 3GB memory, covered also by a 1 year warranty is available from €549.99
Commenting on the latest development in supporting Meteor's mobile broadband rollout, Sean McGrath Sales Director at Meteor said, "Our aim is to bring real competition to the mobile broadband market while providing a simple and quality user experience. Now customers can choose Meteor as their one stop shop for all their mobile broadband and technology requirements." he added.
Since the launch of Meteor's new high speed data network in March, the operator now has over 6,000 Broadband to Go customers and has extended its coverage from Dublin and Cork to Drogheda, Naas, Bray, Newbridge and Dundalk.
Offering laptops and netbooks in store offers Meteor customers the convenience and choice combined with best value mobile broadband on the Irish market.
