The Most Promising New Artisit for 2010

Are you an unsigned artist looking for a break? Do you dream of showcasing your talents at Oxegen 2010? Well then look no further, as this years Meteor Ireland Music Awards are introducing a brand new category, the Most Promising New Artist 2010.
The Meteor Awards are looking for the best original song from an individual or group, who is currently not signed to any record label (small independents excluded) or publishing house, giving ambitious unsigned acts the chance to make a break into the music industry.
Songs will be based on composition, lyrics, melody and originality and the lucky winning artist or group will receive the prize of a lifetime which will include;
- Live performance on the New Band Stage at Oxegen 2010 www.oxegen.ie
- One day of recording in Grouse Lodge Recording Studios www.grouselodge.com
- One day of Mastering in Masterlabs www.masterlabs.net
- 150 copies of the CD single
- Radio and PR distribution
- Designed CD sleeve and photo shoot with top celebrity photographer Barry McCall www.barrymccallphotographer.com
Not only that, but the winning act will also be presented with a gong, as the winners of The Most Promising New Artist for 2010 award, at this years Meteor Ireland Music Awards 2010.
Entrants will be asked to upload a video of themselves performing their original song and then the public will have their chance to vote for their top ten artists. A leading industry panel will then select the top five acts who will then become the official nominees for the Most Promising New Artist 2010 award. The line up and nominees for the Meteor Ireland Music Awards will be officially announced in early January 2010.
