Only available on Meteor - HTC Legend takes Android 2.1 to a new level with HTC Sense
Thursday March 25th: Meteor today announces the launch of its latest handset - the HTC Legend. The operator which brought the award-winning HTC Hero to the Irish market last November will be the sole distributor of the HTC Legend – another first for Meteor.
The HTC Legend boasts a unique design with a smooth, continuous surface, crafted from a single block of aluminium into a seamless compact frame. To enhance its look, the HTC Legend includes a stunning 3.2 inch, AMOLED HVGA display that gives bright and vibrant colours. The traditional trackball has also been replaced with an optical joystick, surrounded by a narrow button to improve usability without interrupting the flow of the sculpted chassis.
Commenting on the launch today, Meteor’s Head of Devices and Product Logistics Kealan Donoghue said, “The HTC Hero has been a huge success for Meteor and the HTC Legend is a handset that our customers have expressed great interest in. We are delighted that Meteor customers are again going to be the first in Ireland to get to experience all the HTC Legend has to offer.” He added, “The new HTC Legend is now available in Ireland only through Meteor. It will be available to order online from today, and from any of our 39 Meteor stores and reseller partners nationwide from Friday March 26th. The handset will be available from €49.99 on Billpay. Combined with our high speed 3G network and value data plans like Bill Pay Surf or Bill Pay Max, this will give Meteor customers a fantastic mobile internet experience."
