New State of the Art Swords Store Opens

Meteor officially opened  its 40th store in the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Swords in Dublin. The store design brings Meteor’s ‘Your Social Network’ campaign to life and lets customers try the latest handsets in an open, inviting and interactive space. Over the next 12 months, the new look and feel of this store will be rolled out in Meteor’s other existing stores throughout the country.

Commenting on the opening of the store, Meteor’s Director of Sales, Garry Doyle said, “Launching our 40th store is another great milestone for Meteor, we have stores across the country and our newest store offers customers in Swords and the surrounding areas simple, direct and straightforward access to Meteor’s better value offerings.

“We have designed our stores with our customers in mind, we know people like to try before they buy and with our new interactive design, customers can check out all Meteor has to offer using the live handsets, while experiencing first-hand how easy it is to use Meteor Mobile Internet and social networking on your mobile”

As well as live handsets, the new store has large screens, multi-media displays and Try Bars, all of which aim to enhance the consumer experience for Meteor customers. Designed in response to consumer demand, the store offers ultimate convenience with Meteor staff on-hand to answer any questions and give demonstrations of Meteor mobile internet on the range of live handsets available.

With over 1 million customers, 20% market share and 97% population coverage, Meteor now has 40 retail stores nationwide and an online store at www.meteor.ie. Earlier this month, Meteor celebrated another significant milestone with the arrival of its super fast ‘Broadband to Go’ mobile broadband service in Clonmel, marking the 100th location in Ireland where customers have access to Meteor’s 3G high speed data network.
