Will I be charged to view the Meteor Mobile Internet site on my mobile?
Customers can access the Meteor Mobile Internet site for free. If you want to click on one of the links on the site though you will be accessing the big bad web and this is charged.
I use the Mobile Internet a lot, what is the best option for me?
Billpay customers are charged for internet access at 70c per day, for a 50MB allowance where they do not have a data add on. If you use more than your 50MB in a day you will be charged 2c per MB for this usage.
If you use data regularly, you may be better to use of our great data add ons, pay once a month to cover all of your mobile internet! Check here for details
PAYG customers are charged for internet access at 99c per day, for a 50MB allowance where they do not have a data add on. If you use more than your 50MB in a day you will be charged 99c per MB for this usage.

If you don't want to sign up for an add on, simply browse the internet for 99c per day for up to 50MB. Use it as often or as little as you like.
I’m concerned about security on Meteor Social Stream, can I set this up so that I have to log in to view my updates?
To add a secure logon code, navigate to the Meteor Social Stream homepage.
Click on the settings link at the end of the homepage
Go to manage your login
Your mobile number will be already there, so all you will need to do is give yourself a password and an email address to allow us to email it to you if you forget it!
You will now need to enter a password to view your Meteor Social Stream.

What about getting internet access for my laptop using my mobile phone?
You can connect your mobile phone to your PC and use your phone to connect to the mobile network providing internet access for your PC. This is called tethering which is a bit like mobile broadband. The process to setting up tethering with your laptop varies depending on your mobile phone so you will need to refer to the user manual for detailed information. Many mobile phones come packaged with the required software and USB cable complete with set up instructions or alternatively instructions on how to set up a wireless connection between your phone and laptop.
As you are using your mobile phone to access the internet, you will be subject to mobile internet pricing costs. What is Meteor Social Stream?
We know that staying on top of your Social Networks is hard work, especially when you have more than one and you're busy being on the move. To make this easier for you, Meteor Social Stream brings all your Social Network updates onto to the Meteor Mobile Internet homepage showing your three most recent updates! To manage your networks, change settings or see more updates, simply click anywhere within your Social Streams digest on the homepage.
Please note while updates to Social Streams on your homepage are free, managing your settings will incur a day pass at 70c.
Can I upload a picture to Meteor Social Stream?
Sharing a picture with Facebook is easy with Meteor Social Stream, just take the photo and send it to 53385 and we'll take care of the rest. We will even send you a confirmation text letting you know when it has been posted for you. And the best news? Picture messaging costs the same as SMS until July 31st.
How do I set up Meteor Social Streams?
- Select the Meteor Social Streams banner on the homepage. This will take you to the ‘Manage your social networks’ page.
- There are 3 social networks that you can set up – Linked In, Facebook and/or Twitter. Select the ‘Setup this network’ link for the social network you would like to set up.
- You will be required to enter your username and password for that social network.
- Once the social network is successfully set up, that social network will be shown with a status of ‘Setup On’ on the Manage your Social Networks page.
- Repeat steps 2-4 to set up additional social networks.
- Select the ‘Meteor Social Stream’ link to now view your list of social network updates.
How do I add security settings to my Meteor Social Streams?
So you don't want anyone but you to see your Social Streams updates? To add a secure logon code simply:
- Go to the Meteor Social Streams Homepage by clicking anywhere within your Social Streams digest on the Meteor Mobile Internet Homepage.
- Click on the settings link at the end of the homepage
- Go to manage your login
- Your mobile number will be already there, so all you will need to do is give yourself a password and an email address to allow us to email it to you if you forget it!
- And Voila! No-one can read your updates and slag you about what your friends are up to!
