How to upgrade and get your free call credit

  1. Choose a phone in one of our stores or even easier why not buy online?
    The option to purchase a phone as an upgrade will appear in the checkout process.
  2. Make a call from your new phone.
  3. Re-register with Meteor:
    • online – log on to MyMeteor and update your details
    • by post – there is a freepost envelope in your upgrade pack
    • by calling 1747

You’ll need your 15-digit IMEI number when re-registering.

How to find your IMEI number

Your IMEI is a unique 15-digit number associated with each phone. The IMEI for each phone can be found in the following locations:

  • On the side of the box containing the phone
  • By typing *#06# into the handset
  • On the phone itself (usually behind the battery)

Customers will need to quote the 15-digit IMEI when registering on-line, by post or via Customer Care. This is a unique 15-digit number to your phone.

Once you’ve re-registered, top up €20 each month to get your call credit. Get full details.

It must be at least 90 days since your last upgrade for you to be eligible for upgrade call credit. To find out if you are eligible, free-text the word "upgrade" to 50000.
