It’s often a good idea to passcode lock your iPhone giving you an extra layer of security over the personal data on your iPhone.
To passcode lock your phone:
- Press the menu button
- Select the settings icon
- Select the general settings tab.
- Select passcode lock
- Select turn on Passcode lock
- Enter your secure 4 digit passcode that you will remember
- Re-enter your secure 4 digit passcode as promted
- Your phone is now protected by passcode locking
