Register
€5 call credit is available to you when you register your details on My Meteor.
Once you’ve made your first 3 chargeable calls with us, you can set up a MyMeteor account.

- Need to update your account details? You can change your name and address details on MyMeteor. Simply log in and click on 'Change Details' under 'My Account'.
- Log in to MyMeteor Insert your mobile number and PIN ( what’s this?) into the log in area below. This will take you through to MyMeteorYour PIN is the four digit PIN you received with your phone. If you have changed your PIN please contact Customer Care to find out how to log on to My Meteor
- My Account Choose 'Register Yourself' within the drop down menu under 'My Account'.
*For full details on the call credits you are eligible for with your sim/handset click here or alternatively call customer care. Please note call credit is issued on the 10th of the following month.
Inactive phones / accounts
If you are a Pay As You Go customer, and you haven't topped your phone up for a period of 360 days, your account shall be terminated and all call credit thereon duly forfeited. You will receive the following warning before your account becomes inactive:
After 330 Days
- You will receive an SMS/text informing you that your phone account will be discontinued if you don't top up. At this stage, outgoing calls from your account will be barred, but it will still be possible to receive incoming calls.
During the following 30 days
- If you want to have your service restored, you MUST top up. You can call 1741 as normal and top up your account which will become active within 2hrs.
- If you do not, your account will be terminated and you will lose any of the credit that was remaining on your account.
For Pay As You Go Customers, if you fail to apply a minimum of €5 of purchased call credit to the Service at least once every 330 days, though for a further 30 days you will continue to receive incoming service. During this 30 day period the suspension will be lifted if a minimum of €5 of purchased call credit is applied to the Service.Upon expiry of this 30 day period Meteor may unilaterally terminate this Agreement without notice. Meteor will attempt to advise you of an impending suspension if you fail to meet the minimum requirement for applying call credit to the Service. You will lose any call credit remaining on your account at the time the Services are terminated.
Upgrade
Subject to certain qualifying criteria some customers may qualify for discount on the purchase of a new handset. To find out if you are eligible for an upgrade, free-text the word "upgrade" to the number 50000.
N.B - Please note, however, that the conditions that determine eligibility for upgrade are different for Pay As You Go and Bill pay Customers.
Change of Ownership
If you are Pay As You Go customer and you want to change ownership of your phone:
- If you give the SIM card from your phone to someone else, your details remain locked into that SIM card until you call us and advise us to change the details.
- Once you call us, you will need to make sure that all details regarding the new owner are now on the account. This means, that when the new owner call's us at Meteor looking for information on their account, they will be able to do so.
If you are a Bill Pay customer:
- Both parties need to go to any Meteor store and sign over contracts.
Nuisance phone calls
If you are receiving nuisance phone calls and wish to change your phone number, please follow the below steps:
- If you experience anything illegal, whereby you feel you need to change your phone number, then we urge you firstly to contact the Gardaí and get an incident report number.
