How do I enter the correct data settings to my Android phone if I've brought my phone from another network?

  1. From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks. 
  2. Tap Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
  3. On the APNs screen, press MENU and then tap New APN.
  4. On the Edit access point screen, enter the APN settings. Tap an APN setting item to edit it.
  5. Press MENU and then tap and Save.

Data

  1. Meteor APN - Data.mymeteor.ie
  2. No user name
  3. No password
  4. Leave all other settings as current defaults on handset

MMS

  1. mms.mymeteor.ie
  2. Username: my
  3. Password: wap
  4. Server: leave blank
  5. Mmsc: http://mms.mymeteor.ie
  6. Mms proxy: 10.85.85.85
  7. Mms port: 8799
  8. Mms protocol: wap 2.0
  9. Mcn: 03
  10. Authentication type: pap
  11. Apn type: mms

SafeSurf product

You need to call first Customer Care to activate SafeSurf:

  1. SafeSurf APN - ACF.MYMETEOR.IE
  2. No user name
  3. No password
  4. Leave all other settings as current defaults on handset
