7 Deadly Things Competition

1. Participation in the 7 Deadly Things Competition (the “Competition”) constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry (the “Terms and Conditions”).
2. Entry is open only to Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 years and over and who are in full time or part time education at an Irish third level institution (“Eligible Entrants"). Directors, management and employees (and the families of same) of Meteor or other companies or individuals associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.
3. The Competition is open from 19 September 2011 until 27 November 2011 (the “Competition Period”).
4. To enter the competition, “Eligible Entrants” must register their first and last name, a valid email address and the name of the Irish third level educational institution of which they are a student on www.facebook.com/meteor during the Competition Period and upload a photograph or video clip with a theme based on one of the seven categories of Prizes.
5. The winning photograph or video clip must be social, fun and reflective of the Meteor brand.
6. During the Competition Period, the Eligible Entrant is eligible to win a prize in the category they have applied to. The following prizes (the “Prize(s)”) can be won:
7. A trip for 4 to New York City. Prize includes return flights from Ireland.  3 Nights at a 3* Hotel. A 2 hour private DJ lesson. Free admission to a Chelsea Nightclub on one night. Spending money of €2,000.
8. A trip for 4 to Rio di Janeiro. Prize includes return flights from Ireland. 7 nights at a 4* hotel. Breakfast daily. A stadium tour. Tickets to a football match. Spending money of €2,000.
9. A trip for 4 to South Africa. Prize includes return flights from Ireland. 7 nights at a 3* Hotel. Breakfast Daily. 3 surfing lessons including the free hire of equipment. Spending money of €2,000.
10. A trip for 4 to Las Vegas. Prize includes return flights from Ireland. 5 nights at a 3* Hotel. Helicopter ride and free admission to 4 nightclubs. Spending money of €2,000.
11. A trip for 4 to Austria. Prize includes return flights from Ireland.  Access to Snowbombing  events. 5 nights in a 4 bed self catering apartment.  Spending money of €2,000.
12. A trip for 4 to Cancun. Prize includes return flights from Ireland. 7 nights at a 3* hotel in Cancun. €2,000 spending money.
13. A trip for 4 to Sonar Music Festival. Prize includes return flights from Ireland. 3 nights at a 4* hotel.  Breakfast daily.  3 day entry to the Sonar Music Festival. Spending money of €2000.
14. Eligible Entrants can enter the Competition once for each category of Prize available with a maximum number of seven (7) entries to the Competition i.e. one per category.
15. Eligible Entrants must obtain the consent in advance from any person present in the photograph or video clip to which they submit an entry to the Competition.
16. Meteor reserves the right to refuse an entry or present a picture or video clip to the gallery of images for whatever reason at its discretion.
17. Any person accompanying the winner to any of the destinations which make up the Prizes must be 18 years and over.
18. Each winner must, at Meteor’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to Meteor using their names, images and/or videos in publicity or promotional material.
19. Each winner agrees to participate in a blog update on www.facebook.com/meteor following the taking up of the Prize which will give a brief account of each winner’s experience following the event.
20. The winners will be announced on www.facebook.com/meteor on 2 December 2011. If a winner does not respond to Meteor within one (1) week of being notified, Meteor has the right to select another winner.
21. Eligible Entrants must take up the Prize within 12 months of having won the Prize or the Prize will be forfeited.
22. The decision in relation to the identification of each winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
23. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. In the event for any reason a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by Meteor, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. If for any reason a Prize is not available, Meteor reserves the right to substitute another prize for it, in its sole discretion, of equal value.
24. If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of Meteor which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, Meteor may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries.
25. Meteor accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete or incorrectly submitted entries.
26. Meteor and its associated companies will not be liable for any loss expense or damage which is suffered or sustained in connection with this Competition or accepting or using the Prize(s), including any loss, expenses, damage arising from any acts or omissions of a third party associated with the competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
27. Meteor reserves the right to vary or amend these Terms and Conditions or withdraw the Competition in whole or in part at any time.
28. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Ireland.
