Meteor Phone a Friend for FREE* Promotion
The following terms and conditions of the Meteor "Phone a Friend for Free*" Promotion ("the Promotion") are in addition to Meteor's general terms and conditions of service and Meteor's Fair Use Policy ("FUP") available at www.meteor.ie/misc/termsofuse.html. All constitute a legally binding agreement between Meteor ("we/us", "Meteor") and the Customer ("you/the Customer"). In the event of any conflict relating to the operation of the Promotion, the terms and conditions below shall prevail.
The Promotion is available to eligible Meteor Pay As You Go ("PAYG") Customers on the Anytime Xtra Tariff Plan ("Eligible Customers")who contact and register with Meteor between the 18th April 2007 and 30th June 2009 ("Promotion Period").
Customers who contact and register with Meteor for the Promotion during the Promotion Period will be eligible to receive Free* Meteor to Meteor calls to one nominated friend on the Meteor network AND Free Meteor to Meteor text messages to any Meteor customer.
Once you nominate and register a friend on the Meteor Network and top up by €20 or more, you will then receive Free* Meteor to Meteor calls to your nominated friend for Life^ and free SMS to any Meteor customer for Life^. Eligible Customers must then top up by €20 or more every 30 days and maintain a positive credit balance to continue to receive the free calls and free SMS under the Promotion. Customers must allow up to 24 hours once they have topped up by €20 before contacting Meteor and receiving the Promotion.
You may change your nominated Meteor friend only once every 30 days.
* - (for Free*) means calls to your nominated Meteor friend will be Free* for a maximum duration of 60 minutes. After 60 minutes has elapsed the call will be charged in accordance with the standard Anytime Xtra Tariff Plan rates (i.e. if a call to your nominated Meteor friend runs for 63 minutes, the first 60 minutes of the call will be free and the remaining 3 minutes will be charged at the Anytime Xtra Tariff Plan rates). Note, you can hang up and redial your friend's number after 60 minutes to avoid charges.
^ - (for Life^) means that Eligible Customers may avail of the Promotion whilst they remain a Meteor PAYG Customer on the eligible Tariff Plan above. Customers who leave Meteor or move to any other Meteor tariff plan or promotion will not retain access to or avail of the Promotion.
This Promotion does not apply when you are roaming outside the Republic of Ireland (ROI) or for international calls. The Promotion is only available in the ROI.
Existing Meteor customers who wish to avail of the Promotion may do so by moving to the Anytime Xtra Tariff Plan during the Promotion Period and may move back to their original Meteor Tariff Plan (provided it is an existing plan) at any time, however you acknowledge that you will lose any original discounts or offers under the original Meteor Tariff Plan once you move to the Promotion.
By signing up to the Promotion, you consent to Meteor contacting you by SMS to notify you of successful or unsuccessful registrations, activations, updates, changes in relation to this Promotion for as long as they are eligible and remain on the Promotion.
You warrant and represent that you have obtained your nominated friend's consent to use their mobile number for the Promotion, in order for Meteor to process their mobile number in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1998 and 2003 (as amended from time to time).
Meteor reserves the right to vary or amend these terms and conditions or withdraw the Promotion in whole or in part at any time, where in its opinion there is a valid commercial, technical or operational reason, or where you are in breach of any of Meteor's terms and conditions or Meteor's FUP.
Meteor shall not be liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, howsoever arising from the Promotion or for termination, withdrawal or amending the Promotion.
