A little about us…

Meteor was established in 2001 after being granted the 3rd mobile network license in Ireland.

Having been hugely successful with our Pay As You Go offers in our formative years, we were bought by Eircom Group in 2005, operating from then on as a wholly owned subsidiary of the group.

In 2009 we launched our revolutionary Bill Pay plans, offering some of the best value prices on the market. And in 2013, we made Irish telecoms history by becoming the first mobile operator in Ireland to launch a high speed 4G mobile network.

Today, after expanding our capabilities even further, to cater for greater needs, we are well positioned in the Irish market as a pioneering network that puts its customers’ interests first.

What we’re aiming for…

Our aim is to give the people of Ireland what they really want from a network - an easy to understand, straightforward approach to mobile phone plans, combined with ground-breaking deals and great customer service.
